History

Georgia Business Associates, Inc. was founded in 1979 to serve the metro Atlanta business community. The Company has continually provided business brokerage and M&A services to its clients for over twenty-seven years. Merger and acquisition, business brokerage, and valuation services are now provided to clients in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida.

Company Services

Merger and acquisition, business brokerage, pricing studies, valuation services, and consulting services are provided to the Company's clients. Services include assisting clients in getting ready to be taken to market.

International Business Brokers Association

The International Business Brokers Association is an association of business brokers and M&A specialists with over one thousand six hundred members from twenty-two different countries. It is a professional society providing formal education courses for its membership, twice a year conferences presenting practical workshops focused on effective business brokering, professional designations (CBI, M&AMI, and Fellow of IBBA), and peer to peer networking opportunities.

Georgia Association of Business Brokers

The GABB is the only professional association in Georgia dedicated to those serving the business brokerage and M&A markets. The association provides educational courses, conferences, and workshops for its members. GABB provides a multi-list service to its members promoting co-brokering and enabling an expedited presentation of a business to buyers.

Certified Business Intermediary

Certified Business Intermediary, or CBI, is the designation awarded by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA). A CBI must have a high degree of knowledge obtained through the completion of prescribed courses and the passing of an examination in each course and, additionally, completion of a comprehensive examination. A CBI must have a combined minimum of three years experience and education in business brokerage.

Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary

The M&A Source division of IBBA promotes members' professional development to better serve the needs of the middle market client. To receive the M&AMI designation a member must be a CBI, complete more complex educational courses, and have specific experience in transactions of one million dollars or greater.

Million Dollar Club

The GABB sponsors the Million Dollar Club to recognize individual members who have successfully completed at least a million dollars in business sales each year. Company staff members have received Million Dollar Club recognition on a continuing multi-year basis.

Code of Ethics

The Company and its staff subscribe to the Code of Ethics of the International Business Brokers Association and to the Code of Ethics of the Georgia Association of Business Brokers.
